"Great location in the centre of Ambleside. Ideal parking and good bus routes to other areas."

Breakfast was good with the bonus of 10% discount. Location is ideal. Good selection of teas and coffees.

We stayed in room 32. Unfortunately although I understand it is a safety requirement the smoke alarm in the room was in such a position that it was over the bed and flashed green lights all night which was annoying. Also we found the pillows very hard and flat. It did mention in the literature that there would be extra pillows in the bed drawers but there were none. Also the extractor in the bathroom was very loud and took quite a while to stop once light was switched off.

"Lovely room with best view of village and mountains in the background."

The accommodation was central in the village, and the view from the large window was exceptional. The small fridge was ideal for a few bottles of water and a bottle of wine.

The check in time of 15.00pm was a little late and did not leave us much time to enjoy the room as much as we would of liked. We understand this is the same with a lot of accommodations, but with a check out time of 10.00am then an earlier check in time should be possible.

Fantastic location in the centre of Ambleside. Spacious room, beautifully styled. The bed was really comfortable. Full marks for a full size kettle and big mugs! For 2 avid tea drinkers this makes the most welcome change from the tiny hotel kettles and cups usually found in accommodation. Spacious shower and modern bathroom. We loved our stay.

The pillows were a little flat 🤣

"Relaxing,welcoming with wonderful views which was just what we needed for a short break"

The Location was wonderful. Right in the heart of the town so all the local restaurants ,pubs and shops were within easy walking distance..The view from our window was of the bridge house in Ambleside with the fells in the background. It was iconic and the owners had set 2 chairs in front of the wide expansive window so you could sit in comfort and watch the world go by. The room was spacious ,clean and welcoming.

Great location, peaceful pleasant room, lovely reception/welcome

It wasn’t a big issue but limited parking on site (there is an overflow 5mins away if needed). Shower a little cool but still tucked all the boxes.
