DEUSWe liked the personal pool, fenced yard, and fairly well stocked kitchen.
There were a ton a amenities that we were expecting to enjoy that we didn't know we wouldn't have access to until after arrival. No beach. No pool. Water front boardwalk (permanently??) closed due to broken boards. Iguanas and their feces everywhere. The hot tub I'm going to call a personal pool... it never warmed up no matter how many times we turned on the heater per the instructions. Walls are far from soundproof, and we got to hear everything going on in houses around us. Bed sizes not currently listed on Booking; they're small. As a couple accustomed to our king size bed, we were very uncomfortable. Trash was hidden randomly throughout house - in entertainment stand, in kitchen cabinets, in bathroom cabinets. The only bathrooms are on the second floor, and the AC unit is so noisy!! There were annoying HOA rules which we expected to comply with. No boats allowed (which defeated the whole point of us wanting a house with water access!!). No hanging bathing suits or towels outside. Quiet time between 10p - 7a, which no one complies with. 2 cars max per unit, which no one complies with. There were others, but these are the ones that stuck with me. And then the home owner who sent several messages reminding us of our check out time, and to make sure we do everything listed in the instructions as part of our check-out procedures. Who also requested we let him know as soon as we left so housekeeping could come in and flip the house. Got it - you want us out. Noted. My wife and I paid what we feel is a premium price for the privilege of staying in Duck Key, for what ended up being a far from premium experience. Lesson learned, will stay elsewhere.
GBA beautiful apartment in a good location. We visited Marathon and Sombrero beach, both of which were 10-15 minutes away by car
USThis was a great place to stay and see the keys.
CHWe had no problem accesing the Villa and we had everything we needed. The Whirlpool was also the perfect thing for the evening. The Area was really quiet.
