Grand Hotel L'Approdo

The location was on the beach, close to center but still a long walk. Rooms need major renovations. Breakfast was decent, staff was kind.

The bed covers were smelling musty, bathroom door didn’t lock well.

Location beautiful setting so nice.

Bed not comfortable

Fantastic beach hotel in a pleasant town with both modern and ancient sites. Our room was big, spotlessly clean, with a balcony overlooking the beach and the sea. Rooms on the other side of side had views of the Temple of Jupiter and the town. A fantastic location. Breakfast was amazing with eggs, sausage, bacon, meats, cheeses, sweet breads and cakes. They had it all. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Only the location, avoid the place

There were ants in the room, elevator was in maintenance, wifi not working and personnel at the reception didn’t seem to understand English.

Beautiful view of the beach and having a balcony was great.

The room was very hot and stuffy when we arrived.

The room was each day very clean. location.

That the restaurant was not open in de evening.

Nothing.

Worst experience ever at the hotel’s sun deck by the rocks. Both demeaning and discriminatory treatment bestowed by the hotel’s “life guard” on duty last weekend. Complained immediately, in person and in writing, to the front desk but nothing happened. Apparently the “we will always stand by each other” kind of people.

The breakfast was good. The beach would have been excellent if it hadn’t been rainy and windy. The gym was small but useful. Good parking.

The gym was way too hot. The hotel served NO food after breakfast, which was most inconvenient. We did expect to be able to buy some (!) food in the building! All in all a hotel well past its prime.
