Byford Lodge Luxury self-catering in Louth

A very comfortable, clean and tidy, spacious property. A loaf of bread and a wee bottle of milk were a nice touch. A short walk to the local supermarket and the town centre.

My only very, very small negative was the TV in the lounge. It was a great size, but very dated with no streaming capability and an intermittent issue with picture quality/reception.

Loction was awesome within 10 mins walk of Louth centre with its many restaurants but easy enough to get out for us to get where we needed.

A very warm welcome from Marshall on our arrival at the property ahead of our planned check-in time, with secure parking for 2 guests vehicles made available. The lodge was absolutely beautiful, ideally situated 5 minutes walk from town. The under floor heating made it toasty warm for our arrival, with complimentary items such as a tea and coffee selection made available, butter, milk, fresh bread and mince pies in the kitchen area. In the bathroom there were shower gels, shampoo and conditioner to utilise during our stay. Marshall was extremely knowledgeable about the area, should we have had any queries about the local amenities. In addition there was a visitors folder, that included lots of general information relating to the lodge, then details of local shops and restaurants, right the way through to places to visit. A really useful tool for vistors who hadn't explored the area prior. The kitchen was beautifully equipped for those that enjoy to cook, the bedrooms were super-luxurious with quality bed linen and mattresses for the ultimate nights sleep. The decor of the lodge was high end, giving it a really luxurious feel. The lodge also had a small private terraced area, that I'm sure would be ideal to enjoy some sunshine in the warmer months. Everything about the property and the guest experience was absolutely stunning. A huge thank you to the owners, Marshall and Karen for making our Christmas break a perfect one.
