Place looked nice and spacious, back of a townhouse. Bed was comfortable.

Parking is difficult, zoned and little parking. Toilet didn't flush right from start to malfunctioning. Hot showers good for only 10 minutes. Got sick due to hypothermia. Way overpriced. If you have bad knees not recommended. Evaded answering questions. Lack of transparency. Will never go back.

"This property was in a relatively quiet area and only 12 minutes to Union Station."

8.0

Had all necessary facilities and comfortable in a compact space.

Noisy refrigerator and spiral staircase especially carrying bags.

"Full of potential, but lack of follow through from manager marred our stay."

4.0

I was in town for a confrence, and I typically don't like staying at conference hotels. I chose this location, because of the roof deck, and this was a neighborhood I lived in 20 years ago. The cost was comperable to the conference hotel, and my wife was joining to be able to visit old friends. Personally I like the neighborhood, but if you aren't a city dweller, it might not be to your liking. Close access to H Street, good bus service, surprisingly quite at night. Barracks row is a little longer walk. The facility was relatively clean, The roof deck was definately a plus.

There was an issue with the Storm door which ended up jambing shut with my Wife locked in the house for over an hour. Fortunately we still know people in the neighborhood, so after having a less than ideal conversation with the local manager, who's only suggestion was to call the fire department, we called a friend with tools to remove the door. The better course of action would have been for them to have someone come over to verify what the problem was themselves, so they could take apprpriate corrective action. This occured in the late afternoon, so someone should have been available. As it was, they just re-hung the storm door the next day, without correcting the frame issue. When we cam back that afternoon, we once again had some difficulty opening the door. It wasn't completely jambed as it was before, but was still sticking a little, and could easily have jambed again, so we took care to make sure we didn't close the storm door for the rest of our stay. Other minor items were identified as follows: Normally I would just let these items go by without much thought, but in conjunction with the door issue, it really made our stay here less than steller. 1) No hair dryer (as listed in amenities) 2) Washing machine was broken, I had planned on doing laundry here. 3) Prior occupant left food in cabinet that was not cleaned out during turnover. 4) Check-in verification process required too much subsequent follow up after booking. 5) We were initially overcharged, only receiving a small refund to the agreed upon amount after complaining about the storm door. 6) The shower divertor doesn't completely seal, so the tub filler still has significant water flow while showering, and kind of sprays all over.

"Magnifique!"

10.0

The place is situated in a very nice traditional neighborhood, within reasonable walking distance of main landmarks in Washington DC -10 minutes from the Capitole-. Otherwise, there is a FREE streetcar that runs to/from Union train station, where you can connect to the subway system in the city.
