Barbican View - luxury apartment opposite Alnwick Castle

Excellent location for the centre of Alnwick and beautiful walks by the river. Easy to park nearby. The flat had all necessary amenities, and the hoats left us a lovely welcome pack for us and our ppoch. The enclosed garden was great with having a dog. The bedroom and sofa were very comfortable. It was a very peaceful place to stay.

The glass coffee tables felt a little risky for those with pets and children. It felt like there was a few too many chairs and cushions in the lounge, making it a little tight for space once we added in a dog crate!

There was a lovely greeting gift of wine and snacks on arrival and the owner very kindly let us check in early as we was attending a wedding at the castle which started at 2.30pm with no extra charge allowing us to get ready in time without travelling (4 hour travel) in our wedding attire.

would have been nice if the spa bath was working but wasnt the end of the world as the shower was amazing.

Great location. Close to castle, pubs and restaurants but still very quiet. Easy parking with a residents pass which was provided. Great shower, comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with owner. There's a lovely enclosed garden too, although we didn't use it in November. It would certainly be a pleasant place to sit in warmer weather. Easy access to town centre. Had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay.

Disappointed with cleanliness - rice on kitchen floor, moths in bedroom and living room, long blond hairs on headboard, Some appliances not dusted eg cd player. Bathroom tired and could do with updating but good shower. Bath advertised as whirlpool bath but should be removed from advert as doesn't work. In need of fresh painting.

Great location & I was grateful for the parking permit provided. Very comfortable flat with a lovely courtyard garden. The welcoming gifts were a nice surprise & the information pack was very useful.

If you want to visit Alnwick then the location can’t be better. Right in the middle of everything but also quiet.
