The approach..it's far from city and last mile is very tough terrain.

However, the road to the property was straight out of a horror show. Extremely ill maintained narrow and steep hilly road, broken badly. The property was impossible to find. The owner thankfully sent someone to lead us to the property from the main road. Once we were in, didn’t dare going out in these roads
INSuperb and charming hosts, Arshad and Lydia were wonderful and their nephews also helped in serving very tasty dinner & breakfast and also helped with a bucket of steaming hot water for a bath on a cold winter day, when the power was out and the property was on the genset/inverter backup. The rooms were immaculate and the neo-European décor was superb and their house was a visual treat with splendid artefacts and immaculately clean premises. They have 4 rooms across 2 levels, and each level has a shared bathroom between 2 rooms and a fully equipped kitchenette for use. The rooms are not the same size though, with one room on each floor about 20% bigger than the other. Arshad himself is a good cook and served us a very tasty dinner as well as breakfast. ( veg & non-veg). Overall an excellent stay, we did not expect to find this gem of a home stay in Kohima.
The location is not easy to find, especially in the dark, and it gets dark at 4 pm in the winter, in this northeastern part of our country. The approach road to the premises is very narrow and is pretty steep which could be a bit disconcerting for drivers unfamiliar with hilly terrain. The directions can be a bit tricky, with G-Maps missing some turns in the narrow hilly roads at times. However since we could call Arshad, we were able to get to the destination finally. Covered parking while available, is limited to around 4 cars at one time. Convenience stores are not within easy reach, but the hosts can help with anything required.

We missed the sunlight. The building gets no sunlight. Geysers capacity is small for required hot water bath. We were lucky to be the only occupants in the apartment, else it's a shared bathroom for 2 rooms.
