USA representative from the property management company met us and walked us to the unit. Although the unit we reserved was not available (see below), the company offered us an exceptional alternative for our stay. Both the property we reserved, and the one we were provided, are beautiful and in excellent locations within Vernazza. After staying one night in the alternative location and determining that it didn’t quite meet our needs as a family, the management company provided us a refund for our second night, as well as a discount from the night we’d already stayed.
We were told upon arrival to the property management office that the unit we reserved - Mainetta Sea View - was not going to be available due to some bathroom renovation delays. We were provided with a beautiful alternative apartment for our stay, but unfortunately the layout and unit details of the replacement did not quite meet our needs.

USI absolutely loved our stay in Vernazza, and this apartment was a great home-base to explore Cinque Terre. Check in was very easy to coordinate with the host, and they were understanding when our arrival got delayed due to train strikes. They left clear instructions and a detailed map for us to navigate to the apartment. They also left us some light breakfast (packaged croissants and biscuits) for us to enjoy. The apartment itself was large and perfect for our group of 5 adults with lots of luggage, and we were all grateful there was only one short flight of stairs up to the apartment.
The location, while super convenient, was right above a noisy bar which meant there were loud diners and drinkers right outside the window until 1 AM. Additionally, one bedroom (the larger one) does not have any windows, nor does it have AC -- which means it gets very stuffy if you close the doors, and you have no privacy if you leave the door open for air circulation. We opted to leave the windows open at night to let the cool air in, but we were often disturbed at 4 AM with loud trucks, glass bottles being recycled, and pressure washers cleaning the main plaza area -- so none of us slept well. The beds were too firm for us.

USThe location of this property is great overlooking the harbor. This is best for visitors who will be up late enjoying the nightlife as there is a bar directly underneath. We appreciated the washer and dryer.
The air conditioner was not working and we were unable to use the fans provided since the power went out at least a couple times during our 2 day stay. The power was out for an extended time in the evening/night which made sleeping very difficult with the heat and noise.
