Sun Outdoors Cape May

The location of the house was off site but there was a path that led directly to the pool and playground. It was private while still being part of the camp.

The floors of the unit were very dirty. My children had dirty feet with minimal walking around inside the unit. There was a mop (that has seen better days) but no solution to mop the floor.

There were no interior pictures of the “Guppy” house. If there were, I would have not booked this property for my family and I. I only seen interior pics of the Starfish house, which is the main property. The guppy house is an “en-suite” of the Starfish. There were partitions installed to separate the two bedrooms, which don’t go all the way to the ceiling. This was a major drawback and did not give any privacy. I did contact the front desk and shared my frustrations and was issued a 20% refund. The manager was apologetic and agreed that the listing was inaccurate and misleading. There also was an ant problem and the water gave off a bad egg smell.

There was someone in the booth to let us through the gate and directed us to the welcome center. There were several staff members available to complete the sign in process. No wait at all. Designated parking spot. Screened in porch with a table for 4 and a ceiling fan. We had several breakfasts outside with no bugs. 2 Air conditioning units that were easy to program temperature. Our 2 bedroom cottage was great. I'm not a camping type of person and this cottage was a perfect beginning transition. Nestled in the "wooded" area but surrounded by other family RV's. The other families were nice and respectful. Our cottage had several issues upon arrival, but the front staff was beyond understanding and helpful to our concerns. They had so many things that we wanted to try but didn't have time as we were in Cape May to visit family and spent most of the days there away from the grounds. They have an inground pool, jacuzzi, fishing on site, kayaking, huge playground and jump pad. We will come back again!

I wish there was a mop in the house. I like to keep as clean as possible and sweeping often still left dirt on the floor as noted by our bare feet. I would suggest a list of things to bring on the website such as aluminum foil, hand towels, bar soap or hand soap and ice trays in addition to the linens. I also wish there was an oven, but the 2 top burner was sufficient for our short 4 day stay. There is also a small convenience shop in the welcome center. I would love if the items were online for purchase and quick pick up.

I really liked the facility. We are a family of three and the lodging was prefect for us. The little store was nice and we really enjoyed the golf cart we rented. We played in the pool and play ground and both were well maintained.

When we arrived the front desk was not super busy but they were all talking with each other. At one point the receptionist that was helping us was so distracted talking to another receptionist about another persons account, who was not in the line that we waited a few minutes for him to hand us the key. The staff seemed more occupied talking to one another then helping us.

Lovely view and the terrace was lovely and spacious . Felt a very safe site and really good for kids … everyone seemed to very much stay considerate about each other which was nice. The walk through the campground at night was beautiful with everyone having their little lights hung around the trees and RVs and camp fires going. We even got to witness a camp crawl!

Because we were so near the trees and high up there were a lot of bitey flies which really did make the stay so uncomfortable at times. Definitely invest in bug repellent and a fly swat. We had to go to Walmart to get a candle too. If the flies/bugs hadn’t have been so intense we would have spent more time outside in the evening. Again, think the bbq needs repositioning as it was too close to the trees. On the whole perhaps a little too pricey but we would come again
