Il Castello di Atessa

We had the entire place to ourselves. We also had our own terrace with a spectacular view. The breakfast was prepackaged snacks, so we had a quick coffee and then enjoyed the atmosphere of different local cafes.

I would only suggest maybe a better towel storage option in the bathroom. The beds were not very comfortable and our mattress was very squeaky.

We loved the historical building and the panoramic views. Our hosts were accommodating and helpful when we had questions. The breakfast and coffee was appreciated. There was a full kitchen so we cooked most of our meals. We couldn't resist all the fresh ingredients in the stores. We enjoyed our time in Atessa...very peaceful and quiet location.

We rented a car not knowing the tight winding streets we'd have to drive to get up to the Castelo...it is not for the faint of heart, but they did provide a parking spot for us, which is valuable.🙂

Uncomfortable bed, cold room, had to ask for clean towels. Tired shower area.

Loved the view of the mountains from our balcony. Alot of historical charm with the stone walls. Main living area with the very high vaulted ceilings were very impressive. Hosts of this B&B were really nice. Atessa is a lovely town.

Bed was not comfortable. Could not get wifi in our room. Would have been nice to have small fridge in room.

Fantastic find in a great location. We had booked two rooms as there were four of us. We ended up with a whole floor to ourselves. The hotel itself is so quirky and so much character. The view from the balcony was exceptional! The bedrooms were comfortable, air conditioning which was a must in August. Our rooms didn't have an en- suite bathroom, but as we had the whole floor to ourselves the communal bathrooms and showers were basically for our sole use. Breakfast was just what we needed, packaged but that suited us just fine - great coffee. No kettle in room, but you had access to the kitchen where you could make drinks if needed. Lovely old town, we ventured into had drinks in a bar, then went to a restaurant for fabulous pizza and then stopped for gelato on our walk back up to the hotel .
