Hotel La Place

Really clean, good beds, quiet, good location.

Coffee at breakfast was pretty bad, internet was weak. Even with these negative points, I would still give it a 10.

The place was clean and good for the price. Some of the staff were very helpful. The breakfast staff went out of their way to help. It's in a handy location. Nothing flash but adequate.

Noisy guests and fake hotel phones ringing in the middle of the night.

I like the kindness of each of the receptionists, I came with someone and they were very accommodating when there was a misunderstanding via telephone. Service was definitely given with a smile, and that is something that I appreciate. I like the welcoming feel for me as a foreigner because that is important in maintaining my business. I don't like feeling like an outsider nor treated as one, and the staff here did an excellent job in making me feel right at home. The cleaning crew was definitely the highlight of my stay. They cleaned my room as if a new customer was coming in to stay. I see why they maintain such high rating. They honestly do live up to their ranking. My best part was my ability to take my breakfast to my room, I like eating privately, and the staff definitely accommodated in that as well. Last but not least, the roses the receptionist gave me made me fall in love with this establishment. She didn't have to, but she did, and it warmed my heart to the fullest. Overall, this was an awesome experience for me as a first-time traveler from across the globe. I would definitely recommend this place and make it my choice of stay in the future.

The only thing I didn't like was the off-centered personality of the cook. He at first was very welcoming and suddenly became cold. I would smile and speak, and he was not friendly anymore. Maybe he was having a bad day. We all are entitled to that, but the male receptionist immediately made up for it. I dare not give a bad rating because of one person. This was a great experience in spite of that incident.

Great central location near the harbour and beach.
