"Great quite place"

The hot tub was amazing, log burner was a nice touch, location of the lodge was great for privacy and easy to find, Gift hamper on arrival was nice. Value for money was great, very rural location which has its pro's and con's but overall the stay was great and I would definitely go again. Had every essential we needed: washer, dryer, iron, hair dryer, fire stick, there was even hot water bottles. We visited Pocklington a few times as it was a 9min drive away and was a nice village for breakfast and tea. 40mins drive from York with lots going on in the centre.

The cleaner could have done a deeper clean as a few things could have been better such as the kettle, bath and some of the cutlery were dirty on arrival. Definitely would recommend a full length mirror in one of the rooms. No taxi services close by so be prepared to travel on the buses but they come quite often over the weekend.
