wonderful apartment next to the sea

Nice apartment, spacious, clean, well equipped and in central location in the upper part of Gzira

WiFi needs to get sorted, it works fairly good in the living room but there is no signal in the bedroom.

Absolutely fantastic place, with a prime location. Immaculately clean, incredibly spacious, and the owner is always just a phone call away for any assistance needed. The neighborhood is wonderfully peaceful, with plenty of shops nearby. Highly recommended!

The location is good - close to bus stops (lots of buses go past the flat) and there is a bus stop down the street and other bus stops near the waterfront - which is also only a few minutes walk away. The room sizes are quite good too. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped but with very limited worktop space - if you want to prepare your meal. These are the only positives for this flat.

The check-in details were not provided until after we had landed in Malta - even though I had chased for them 2-3 days prior to departure. What if my phone roaming connectivity was not working once I landed? Once checked in, more problems: 1) Construction work going on on the property next door. From around 7:30/7:45am every weekday morning the banging, drilling, and other loud noises would start and continue till 3pm every weekday. From the day we arrived until Friday 10th, this continued. Only on weekends were we able to sleep in and not be awoken by the loud noises. Not just our sleep was affected - we could not even sit in the apartment in peace during the day - as the noise was so loud. The owner should have clearly stated this in the description or warned me once it was booked - so that we have the choice to cancel the booking. The sign on the other property shows the work started on 10/06/2023. 2)Also, the lift did not work for the entire stay. This was one of the main reasons we chose this property. Speaking to another resident of the building, the lift has not been working for at least 3 weeks - possibly longer. 3) The Stairs are narrow, windy, steep, poorly lit, noisy metal ones - like a fire escape - no wonder they don't show photos of it in the listing. And you can hear every clang step when someone goes up and down! 4) Bathroom filthy with black mold, broken tap, shower head does not stay up 5) poor quality mattress - gave us backache 6) very noisy front room at night - poor sound insulation on windows 7) no free clean linen/towels after the initial ones - even though we stayed 11 days. 8) You will need your own adaptors for iron, hairdryer + toaster - as they are 2pin - but the sockets are 3pin! As you can see from the list, not a 'wonderful' pleasant relaxing experience at all. We just tried our best to get on with it. I asked Booking.

the price/location was good as we needed the place to sleep and not for sitting on a balcony and watching the seaside 😀 air-condition was doing miracles 😀 whatever we were missing, the staff provided on the same day. excellent customer service.

the bed is not the best... wash machine was not working, but the staff helped us there right away.
