"This was a last minute booking to visit our daughter. It fitted our needs perfectly."

10.0

Clean and had a nice family feel. Host was good at communicating. The house was very clean and the wine on arrival was a very nice touch. Really big secret garden.

For us, we could have benefited from a downstairs toilet, elderly relative etc. This property is a semi detached house, so you will hear neighbours moving around etc, but they were very quiet. We will definitely stay here again 👌

We had a family Wedding at the Pumping House and it is a great location for that venue. House was well furnished and owner well organised.

Not an obvious holiday destination (the house is on a housing estate in a former coal-mining town) but it was ideal for us to visit relatives. The neighbours were friendly. Plenty of space in the kitchen-dining room. Good to have off-street parking and a convenient local shop. For us with a Guide Dog in training, the garden met our needs very well, with both a hard surface area and a separate enclosed grassy area (with summer house and picnic bench) so the dog could safely run free. Also lovely walks in nearby Broughton Brake woodland, with a network of paths.

Just a few minor things: Not enough bedside lights (we moved one from another room); no wardrobe in the main bedroom (OK for us as a couple, as we used the space in the other bedrooms). We disliked the strong smell of the air fresheners. It would be good to be able to open the patio doors in the lounge.

"Good access for days out"

6.0

Short drive and good walk to Clumber, Sherwood, and short walk to public footpaths for dog walking. Big kitchen and garden area, with plum tree, was good but overlooked by 15 or so houses. Comfortable seating in lounge and good shower. Good parking, secure space for dog.

Owner had "lost" patio key so couldn't open doors from lounge to outside on a very hot week, advised to use the fan available. Upstairs doors rattled constantly with windows open. One tea towel, no washing up sponge, watered down washing up liquid, only two decent dinner knives, even the dining table top was upside down so not flat to eat or play games on! No hoover or cleaning products to stay on top of 5 people's daily living, extra £85 cleaning fee advised a week before stay. Very noisy estate, neighbours arguing, cars racing. 3 people went home early!

"incredible property, highly recommend"

10.0

The property was the largest, cleanest, well equipped and comfortable place I have had the pleasure of staying. It was very smart but also homely. Both my children got to look round (only one stayed with me there) and both would have loved to move there permanently. The gardens were beautiful and amazing and thoroughly enjoyed and the early morning coffee in the garden at the table was bliss. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by all the wonderful extras ie toiletries, sanitary items and bits of food and drinks it was a wonderful addition to an amazing and comfortable experience. I myself suffer with fibromyalgia so a good comfortable nights sleep can be difficult but I can say that I found the beds incredibly comfortable as did my younger child with sensory difficulties. The property itself has all you could need and more and is delightful to stay. The shop is very close and a little park also and takeaway (menus were also available in the property). I really cannot fault it at all and would highly recommend it. I am hopeful to book again in the near future (and hopefully on a regular basis) for myself and both my children as it’s a request of theirs I am more than happy to agree to. thank you for everything and look forward to future stays

I really cannot think of anything I didn’t like or feel would need any improvement. thank you
