The room was exactly what we needed and breakfast was so good!

We had such a great experience at Lucy's Tea Room (May 7-8). We stayed in the Darjeeling Suite, located in a separate building at the back of the courtyard. The room was very charming and rustic with a clean and good size bathroom / shower. Instant hot water and great water pressure. The breakfast was excellent with great selections off the menu. We arrived much earlier than our check in and the staff were wonderful in letting us leave our backpacks with them while we explored Stow on Wold. I would like to give Frankie a massive shout out and Thank You for going the extra mile for us. On the day of our departure, my wife suffered a migraine episode and required extra time (past departure time) to get things right. I spoke with Frankie, explaining the situation and offering whatever $$ necessary to extend our check out. Frankie would not accept any payment and rearranged the cleaning staff schedule to allow us to stay in the room as long as possible, which turned out to be an additional 90 minutes. I hesitate to write this review because I don’t want everyone to know about this hidden gem! But that would be unfair so here it is- if you get the chance, book this quaint little spot with only 2 rooms (perfect for me and my friend!). You won’t be sorry. It’s precious! The staff are so kind and gave us some insider info. We loved the sweet little touches in both rooms but the best part was feeling like we had a little cottage of our own in the Cotswolds. I’ll never forget it!

Nothing it was perfect!

Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and lots of choices. Location was perfect for Stow and surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and cheery at breakfast.

Although everything was perfect we felt it a little overpriced.

The property was in a superb location, right in the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We were warmly welcomed and well fed!

Very unique and fun place to stay for the authentic "old English" experience. The room was cozy and decorated to fit the period of the building. Tea and freshly baked treats were provided upon our arrival. The included breakfast in the tearoom was delicious, and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The location was perfect for walking around and exploring the town. There were steep steps up to our room, which wasn't a problem for us, but might be for some.

Everything was great.

We checked in after dark - no problem, which we appreciated. Great access for dinner at the Old Stocks Inn across the square. The room was clean and cozy, and the bedding was comfortable.

The tea room was being remodeled and it was unfortunate. I visited the tea room ten years ago, and the quality of the tea/food offerings is definitely not the same. Not sure if we were there on an off-day, but the quality definitely seemed lower. The person staying below us was evidently ill, and we could hear them coughing literally all night. Not really the problem of the Inn, and we felt bad for the person, but it definitely didn't add anything to the experience. Overall, it was fine. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

The location was central but quiet. It was very clean and extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast superb
