Grade II listed Cottage in Oundle with private courtyard

The cottage is at the great location, we can found everything we need nearby. Gareth provides everything in the house, we felt like at home. We were here for our daughter’s leaver’s party, it was lucky to live at Gareth’s cottage so our daughter could also be accommodated before the ball. Highly recommend to everyone who wishes to explore this beautiful town.

The lock of the yard wasn’t function efficiently

Beautiful cosy cottage in a great location. Comfortable interior and tastefully decorated throughout. Gareth the host gave clear and detailed information prior to us checking in which was very helpful. There was also a nice welcome pack in the kitchen. Wifi was good. We spent two nights over Christmas and on arrival we found the cottage decorated with a christmas tree and festive lights. It was very welcoming. We found it warm and there is additional heating if needed. We lit a fire in the open fireplace, which made it very atmospheric. The bed was comfortable, and the whole place was clean and very well equipped. Would recommend this cottage.

I would say that we did struggle a bit with one key safe as it was located very low down and not lit up.

Beautiful place to stay this summer! The courtyard and the weather combined made us feel like we were in Spain or Italy. Stunning kitchen, well kitted out. Comfortable bed and good bathroom. Lovely lounge that we admittedly didn’t use much because of the fantastic weather and option of the courtyard.

Only thing to bear in mind is the kitchen sink is more suited to hand washing than dishwashing. Not a drawback just something to be aware of!

Beautiful cottage, clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely welcome pack with cereals and nibbles. When we experienced a problem with the gate Gareth checked we were ok.

Wasn’t keen on the access down a passageway with a couple of gates. Parking in the coop but trusted Gareth’s assurance 2 hours max parking signs were not monitored. We would have liked a table inside to eat at -perhaps a fold up table could be kept under the stairs and used by the window seat in the lounge? The stairs were very steep and narrow, not for someone with mobility issues.
