Kalappura Houseboats & Tours

Antony was excellent helping us with our booking. The boat was great, good AC, comfortable. Kitchen was clean. Lunch was excellent! The scenery was great, and the morning extra small boat tour is a must. The team got ice and fruit for us to make cocktails which was greatly appreciated. The local indian style breakfast was tasty. Beds were comfortable and the boat was very clean.

Lunch was outstanding. Dinner could have had a lot more effort put in. The food was nice but very simple, there was no table setting and we asked the chef to play some music to add some atmosphere which helped. The dinner experience could have been improved. Some of the glasses could have been washed better.

Had a great time living on a houseboat for a night. The staff is exceptionally nice, the food our chef prepared was top-notch - he is a really fun guy. We had a memorable experience.

Mosquitoes and wall lizards after dark

All the meals served on the houseboat were delicious. Staff worked super hard to provide us with a unique experience. The boat was in excellent condition and our captain made us feel safe at all times. When we berthed for the night we were able to witness the sunset. It was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. I hope to be able to come back one day.

Unfortunately, the mosquitoes for us were the biggest problem. We would have loved to have opened our bedroom window but could not for this reason.

It was a wonderful experience we had with Kalappura Houseboats. The food was amazing and the staff were very helpful. The country boat ride in the morning through the small water channels was a new experience for me. The seafood dishes were very tasty and diverse.

An absolutely anazing experience from start to finish. A very clean and well organised boat. Our bedroom was quite large with en suite bathroom, the mini fridge was loaded with ample drinks and even chocolate all included in our premium package deal. Lunch and evening meal was home cooked and just delicious!! There were 3 staff onboard at all times who were friendly and helpful and making tea for us at our request. In the morning we did a small riverboat cruise to see the sunrise and that was amazing as we went through narrow waterways showing local people starting their day. Plenty of information given along the way too. Back on the houseboat after sunrise to a scrumptious breakfast!! There were mosquitoes in the evening but for our room a repellent was provided as were indoor slippers. All in all a great experience! Would book this trip again in the future and recommend it. We shared our trip with a mother n daughter who were great company!

Lovely staff and food was amazing. Great smaller boat ride through the narrow back waters with jovial and welcoming staff there as well. Special requests accommodated with care and amazing communication before and during the stay. Multiple areas to relax on board.

Great boat - lots of places to sit , we had a 1 bedroom one which was perfect . Food was superb with your own chef. We stopped off to buy some extra prawns and chef cooked them for us . Friendly owner who kept in contact

Worth taking the morning rising sun trip but meant not having enough time to shower, and there wasn't any hot water. Had to pay extra for this.Food OK although wanted to charge extra for seafood, requested no sqid but was brought sqid. Wanted spicy food but this was lacking. However, was given a discount. Would not recommend any more than 1 night.

The expectation of the experience did not match the reality and felt that you had to pay more on top for items to bring it up to what was expected. Strange arrangements for payment by card at the end of stay, had to dive to petrol station 1k up the road.

We had a personal chef to ourselves- he did a grand job at each meal. Breakfast was toast, omelette, fruit, idli and sambher, tea/coffee.

Please provide hand towels too. Please also fix the soap dispenser - it was hanging off the tiles.
