AMARAV Pension House Nacpan El Nido

Nacpan beach was amazing.

Good location (short walk from the beach and opposite a lovely pizza restaurant) and very reasonable price. There aren’t many properties in the area at all unless you’re willing to spend a huge amount of money to stay by the beach, so this is one of few affordable options.

Our room was far worse than the pictures on Booking.com. I’m not sure if we just got one of the older rooms, but it wasn’t in great shape - essentially looked like you were sleeping in a yellow shipping container. The bathroom was fine, but we didn’t have a toilet seat which was never addressed by the staff. We didn’t complain, as we were informed they were fully booked so knew there wasn’t an additional room to move us to. We were put in a room with 2 twin beds when we’d booked a double. I think the room felt clean, but by no means spotless. Toiletries also aren’t provided - you have to buy your own hand soap, shampoo etc. We also found the main lady working here to have quite a rude attitude. We spoke to her a few times during our stay (to book laundry service, a taxi, even a boat trip - all paid extras that you think she’d be happy to provide) and every time felt like she was doing us a favour/we were inconveniencing her. We took it with a pinch of salt and got on with our stay but she was by no means approachable, hence why we felt there was no point mentioning the missing toilet seat in our room. Our room also wasn’t serviced for the entirety of our 5 night stay, meaning we had to ask for additional toilet paper, which again was made to seem like an inconvenience.

WiFi in room is shocking

Tita Mayet and her husband, and the ladies who help maintain the property were all friendly and super helpful! Our family really appreciated their hospitality, their recommendations, and being accommodating of our requests. The property is also so close to the long stretch of Nacpan beach, lined with so many restaurants! Tita also made sure that we were getting wi-fi well, and that we are having an excellent time. The property also has a generator, so the one time that the electricity suddenly cut off, we were still fine. Also, Helena's restaurant across the property had the most excellent pizza and offered the best deal for breakfast (most delicious too!). Overall, our stay at Amarav was really great, and we are so grateful for our experience in El Nido thanks to the people who were looking after us.

Ne laissez surtout pas vos affaires à la réception au sol, si vous avez de la nourriture dans le sac peu importe quelle nourriture puisque il y a des fourmis et ça remplit complètement nos sacs

El lugar está gestionado por sus propios dueños que siempre están atentos a solucionar cualquier necesidad que uno tenga. Pudimos alquilar una moto (500 pesos filipinos por día) y nos lavaron la ropa increíble. No esperes grandes lujos (tampoco por el precio habría que pretenderlo), pero el lugar cumple perfecto la función de tener un lugar para pegarte una ducha y descansar después de un día de playa. Hay algunos almacenes cerca y un par de localcitos de comida donde poder desayunar, almorzar o cenar por unos 7 a 10 USD por persona. Además cuenta con dispenser de agua fría y caliente. Si queres estar alejado del caos de El Nido, Nacpan es un lugar ideal 🙌

Quizás mejoraría que cada vez que uno se baña, se moja todo el baño.
