Junpei’s house is beautiful, clean and has everything we needed. Junpei is friendly and very welcoming host, gave us suggestions about restaurants and activities based on our interests and offered rides to the station on the days of arrival and departure. The time at the house was very pleasant and relaxing. When we will come back to Matsumoto we will definitely book again.

This was our first stop on a month-long trip around Japan, and I cannot put into words just how incredible the whole experience was. A beautiful private home, with a friendly host, in a lovely rural atmosphere. We enjoyed every aspect of the stay, from the traditional decor, to everything we learned about the region. What an amazing way to start our Japan visit - we are sure no other places will measure up.

Typical and real, not a fake for tourists I appreciated the owner was living there

Very comfortable and cosy home stay in a picturesque Japanese home. We loved being able to cook for ourselves and slept excellently in the tatami room on futons. Junpei is an excellent and generous host with lots of advice about sights around Matsumoto.

The location required a bit of extra effort to get to and from Matsumoto. But if you are look for something unique and authentic it is really not a problem.

the host was very friendly he gave lots of great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. He even helped us order food and drinks at the local izakaya
