Shaheen Camp Wadi rum

We came off season and was transferred to another camp - Hasan zawaideh camp - which was a more established site - the accommodations were similar- the highlight was the staff - a young man named Abdullah rescued us by pulling our car out of the sand with his truck, and Muhammad who took is on the jeep tour (money well spent). The evening dinner was like a big party with oud drum music, singing and the families dancing dabka - a wonderful time.

Martian tents were great. Amazing pit cooked lamb and chicken. Stunning views

Great location - although we were moved to the main camp Hassan Zaheeidi last minute due to limited bookings

At dinner there were a huge amount of local people shipped in who were there for food and dancing. I think it would have been much nicer for the residents to have been served food separately as it seemed a bit of a free for all at dinner and we were not expecting this

It was incredible, the location, the view, the staff, and the igloo ‹3

Make sure you confirm with the Hotel which site you are going to stay as there was misunderdstanding that we drove to Shaheen Camp ,where it is not easy to access, rather than the actual camp site. Manager offered a discount for us as compensation. Though the stay started with disappointment, to be fair, the camp site was very nice, tent was clean, jeep tour was good, however no hot water, just warm.

The food is great.

It’s not real far in the desert and is geared for larger groups.

Very nice staff helping with everything. The dinner is a must and the 4x4 trip is a good option. Good breakfast.
