We had a fantastic stay at The Boat House near Donegal. The property is beautifully presented to a high standard, with quality fittings and furnishings that made it feel both luxurious and comfortable. The accommodation was perfect for our group, with three spacious double bedrooms, all with large en-suite bathrooms, plus an additional toilet. The property felt light, airy and welcoming, with lovely indoor and outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, including a coffee machine, and had everything we needed. The location is very convenient, with a well-stocked Spar shop and petrol station a two-minute drive away. One highlight was the magnificent estuary view. The scenery is stunning, and the bird life made sitting outside especially enjoyable. Overall, this is a superb property in a beautiful setting, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay near Donegal.

I absolutely loved this property from the moment I arrived! The location was perfect – quiet yet close to everything I needed. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with a bed that felt like a dream. Lorraine was genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make my stay special. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations.

"Sunrise on the water"

Absolutely immaculate. Responsive host. All bedrooms faced the water. The house is facing east on an estuary, so you see sunrise.

The common area felt a bit cramped. Bedrooms and bathrooms are the priority in this house - which worked for us because we were out and about all day. Some bowls and clothes hangers were pretty high up. If someone in your group is over 5'6", you'll be fine. I didn't meet the host, but I assume she's tall.

Such a stylish home in a beautiful location. On arrival it was so warm and welcoming as the heating had been left on for us. The decor felt luxurious, the beds super comfortable, and the house had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and the views over Donegal bay were stunning. We couldn’t have asked for more!

There was nothing we didn’t like, we highly recommend this property.
