"Highly recommend!!"

10.0

Brilliant! Super clean & perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Great walk by the Tyne straight from the door. Excellent pub 5 min walk away with good food. We didn’t want for anything!

Nothing - it really is a gem!

Beautiful traditional cottage in Riding Mill . It felt like home from home . Loved the wood burning stove . Beds were very comfortable . The cottage was well equipped for self catering .

"Perfect, dog-friendly country cottage in a lovely setting - can't wait to go back"

10.0

The cottage was charming, very cosy and comfortable. It felt welcoming as soon as we walked through the door - even before we discovered the complimentary wine in the fridge, and biscuits and crisps on the worktop! There was masses of helpful info on the wide variety of things to do in the surrounding area, as well as on where to go shopping or eat out. Cupboards and drawers were full of things a holidaymaker might have forgotten (in our case, dog bowls and binoculars!) - Andrew and Janet had thought of everything. The location was perfect too - ideal if you wanted to go by train into Newcastle or just walk along the beautiful banks of the Tyne.

We liked everything - but it's worth flagging that, at night, you prob need to close the blinds AND the curtains in the main bedroom, as there is a very bright street lamp right outside. Also, for those arriving by car, neighbours asked us to park on the opposite side of the road rather than immediately in front of the house - to make it easier for other vehicles on the narrow lane.

"Really loved our time here. Very sweet cottage, comfortable bed, lovely to sit by the fire, great hot shower, perfectly"

Lovely cottage, tastefully decorated, wonderfully soft and comfortable bed, gorgeously cosy little log burner, nice hot shower.

Only gripe might be lack of parking although not a big deal and not the owners fault.

"A lovely rural stay in the perfect location"

10.0

Absolutely loved our stay. We were there for about two weeks over Christmas and it was perfect (the little welcome treats went doen a storm!!) The kitchen was well equipt and had a washing machine and dishwasher (both worked fine). We had two dogs and it was great for them! Dog towels available for after a muddy walk and a great location for walks! The shower was great and the HUGE bed was super comfy, and the addition of the log burner on the cold evenings was lovely. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Worked out quickly to not park directly outside the house and instead park on the opposite sode to keep the road clear for vans etc, but there was always space
