Trulli da Rosy

L'emplacement et le parking.

Très peu d'ustensiles de cuisine, pas d'etendoir à linge, lunette des WC mal fixée, pas de parasol ni de haut vent (présent sur la photo). Deuxième chambre uniquement pour des enfants (très peu d'espace entre les 2 lits d'une place, pas de porte ni de table de chevet). Lorsque nous avons réclamé pour l'étendoir, la réponse du propriétaire a été que nous n'en avions pas besoin. Pour la lunette des WC, il devait passer le soir même et il n'est jamais venu. Pour le parasol, pas de réponse alors que nous avions 32° et terrasse bien exposée au soleil. Nous ne pouvions pas manger dehors, trop chaud. Nous ne recommandons vraiment pas cet établissement pour son rapport qualité prix mais surtout pour l'absence d'écoute et de réactivité du propriétaire.

Logement original dans un trulli isolé dans la campagne et situé à proximité de villages remarquables

Absence d’intimité pour la 2eme chambre équipée de deux petits lits. Couvertures insuffisantes compte tenu de l’humidité des lieux. Petit déjeuné très minimaliste, machine à café avec fuite. Panne d’eau le deuxième matin, la personne chargée de l’accueil se manifeste qu’ au bout d’une heure alors que nous étions partis. Aucun accueil à l’arrivée.

lunette de wc pas fixee. Canicule mais aucune clim ni ventilateur. toute petite table pour 5. Aucune patère où suspendre vetements et serviettes dans la salle de bains ni ailleurs. Beaucoup de moustiques donc on devait fermer toutes les fenetres. etouffant

We spent 6 weeks touring Italy, staying in a trulli was a surprise for my wife who was so excited about seeing the trulli houses in Alberobello. We stayed in a total of 19 hotels, B&B's and agriturismo's and every one carefully selected through Booking.com to meet our needs, 18 were perfect. Trulli Da rosy was selected because of the facilities shown in the photos, description and our need for self catering, it had a kitchen, on a 6 week tour, you have to have some self catering. However it failed miserably.

The photos shown on the Booking.com web site must have been taken many years ago, the place is a dump. inside the kitchen is poorly equipped, there are no glasses and the oven, which is not fixed in properly was filthy, water pressure in the kitchen was weak and the plates chipped and worn out. I have included some photos to illustrate what the place is really like outside, it is supposed to have a BBQ, a pile of old building blocks, the garden chairs, I've seen better being thrown away and the one sun lounger was covered in mould. The yard hadnt been swept, there was lumps of mud laying around and the cleaning tools just left. We contacted the local key handler and no attempt was made to rectify any of our complaints. It is a shame people rent out places like this, with a little investment, covered by an increase in daily rate to pay for it would transform the place. Until that is done, dont book it!

Ideally located for visiting Alberobello, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and the coast. A real Trulli with plenty of indoor and outdoor space and parking. Comfortable bed and decent bathroom. Packaged breakfast renewed regularly. Really good value for money.

If you are fully self catering you may need to bring some kitchen equipment. The four knives are not very sharp. There are plastic cups and bowls but no glasses, a stove top percolator which may suffice for two, no kettle (not unusual in Italy). You may need a box of matches for the gas stove which is a bit unreliable, and a bottle opener / corkscrew.
