Il nido

Mauro spent a lot of time with us going over all our questions. Parking was right outside your room in a secure location. Apartment has everything you need. We have stayed in over 40 apartments in our many visits to Italy and this was the first time we had a dryer. Apartment has great A/c, wifi and everything you would need. You are steps to the city center and shopping. I advise anyone staying at II Nido to have coffee and Cornetto/Coissant first building to your left walking out of the property. It is a local coffee place and the coffee is delicious and cheap. Locally owned and they are so nice there. I will post a picture. I would highly recommend.

Great location with easy parking. Inside is clean and fresh with newer appliances and furniture. Washer, dryer and dishwasher are a plus. Mauro met us at check-in and answered all our questions.

Fabulous apartment in a great location with very easy, secure parking. Mauro met us and gave us some great information on the surrounding area as well, which was so helpful.

We planned to arrive at a time where Mauro, our host, wanted to meet us at the entrance - but since we were a bit early, he could not join. So we got the code to the lock box where the keys are stored. Communication via Whatsapp was perfect. Mauro offered to come by at the original time (which we very much appreciated) and gave us some pointers around the appartment as well as very useful information on Alba and all the small villages around that are worth paying a visit. Now on the appartment itself: It is not like some heartless room, the moment we stepped through the door, we felt at home. Even coffee and some snacks are provided. You have a fully featured kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge), washing machine and dryer. The entrance is in the inner courtyard, behind the large door shown in the pictures, we could park our car directly in front of the appartment - off trafic. The location is really next to the old city center of Alba, just across the street. I don´t think you will find a much better spot in Alba.

For us everything was perfect. Nothing we were missing. Anybody complaining might need to reconsider their expectations.

This may well have been the best stay we have ever had in a vacation apartment. The apartment was more than perfect - it is done in a high end modern style, extremely comfortable and sparkling clean. The WiFi works great and the apartment has a full size washer and dryer, dishwasher, and the host has provided everything you could possibly need if you were living there full time. The private, dedicated parking spot is directly in front of the apartment and the apartment is steps from the old town. The host, Mauro, is a superstar host - he went above and beyond in communications, providing us with information and recommendations from the moment we booked, checking in on us. and that continued all the way through our stay. Mauro and his apartment are amazing. We will be back!
