The Old Bakery

The location was perfect for access to high street, the beach, and walking trails. The home was great—a comfortable living room, complete kitchen, and comfy and quiet bedrooms. Having a garden area was a real bonus when the day turned sunny and warm. The host’s responsiveness and kindness made us feel especially welcome.

It might be handy to have a folding step stool near the bathroom door in order to make it a bit easier to reach the switch for the shower.

Large bed was really comfy, nice size, good location and could bring dogs, oven and fridge were clean

Small mattresses need replacing, the kitchen wasn’t as clean as I would expect for the ones, top of the fridge, top of extractor fan were very dusty, some cutlery dirty, had to wash a few pots and pans before we could use them along with utensils, they also need a good sort out as some really old

Great location close to the shops and beach

Perfect Location

The cosy little house has been lovingly and tastefully renovated and is very well equipped. The photos show exactly what to expect. It is set back from the road and therefore relatively quiet. The location at the beginning of the main street is excellent, shops, restaurants, beach and harbour are within easy walking distance. When we arrived by car, we were able to stop in the charity parking close by. We then parked for free in Cromwell Road.

Close to town, good sized kitchen and living space, good wifi, nice bathroom, good decor, helpful staff when key broke, clear instructions

Had to flick switch above door for shower to work (not good when short) bedrooms small and tastefully decorated but required us to have to move over the bed to accommodate a travel cot. No allocated parking which meant we had to walk miles with our items down the road

The tree branches scraping on the roof kept us awake
