Lovely home, with all the facilities we needed. Very comfortable bed, especially nice after a long days walking 😁.

The sofa was too soft and it would have been nice to have a table and chairs in the courtyard.

The beds were really comfortable. We felt very welcomed and there were loads of board games which the children loved. We only stayed one night to break up a long journey so didn't get a sense of the location and local facilities.

Lovely & clean some nice little touches like Milk in the fridge & chocolate on the table plus loads off information books

House was clean, hostess was friendly and helpful. Cheaper than 2 hotel rooms.

Family-style home experience, somewhat as if living in the 1940's. Quaint and unique. For a single night's stay and being in transit over a 22 day holiday, the residence was adequate.

Not exactly in "centre city" of Carlisle and a bit difficult to get to/from with heavy bags given all the construction in the city and cabs/uber refusing to go into the city. One bath upstairs had to serve three of us and the eating table in the front room was rather small. There is a nice back porch/garden area with nothing in it...a missed opportunity where some sitting chairs and perhaps a few flower pots would have made it a pleasant place to sit rather than veing a vacant area.

Perfect little spot for a stop over on our journey home from Scotland. Good communication from Emma the host and a clean and tidy well-kept house with the added bonus that our dog was also allowed to stay.
