The Gate Lodge

It was perfect, the location was just a 5 min walk from the beach and town. They provided everything such as guides of what's about and of course takeaways. The location was quite and cute just of the main road so no traffic noise. They went all out with a Christmas tree and decorations for our little ones as we was there for Christmas, I'd definitely say the extra mile and having a smart TV was definitely an extra bonus. It was a 7hr drive for us but it was so worth it and I have to say the beds were the cleanest and most comfiest beds we've ever stayed in.

They only comment we'd have we would have loved to have a microwave and a manual for the oven so we knew what setting we needed but nothing else was an issue but this is more our prefence.

The rooms are large and spacious. The shower was a great size and modern. The location is good as it is very near Helensburgh and if needed a train station is at the end of the road.

The living room only has a large sofa and a dinning table with 4 chairs could do with either 1 or 2 single armchairs or even taking away the large sofa and making it a small suite with smaller sofa and 2 armchairs as it was very uncomfortable after awhile sitting on the dinning room chairs. There isn't a microwave which is very unusual. The TV is large and on the wall but was no good for us as we had trouble trying to get just even freeview channels.

Incredibly comfortable beds and sofa and very spacious.

No firewood or kindling, had to go out and purchase our own.

Spacious, warm, comfortable, home from home feeling, huge bed big enough, even for me (whose 6 feet 3 inches). Excellent spacious shower cubicle (a "must have" for me). Highly equiped kitchen. Personal parking space for one car.

Can't think of anything.

Excellent access to all local tourist interesting sites, amazingly beautiful and emaculate home to stay in as a small family. We didn't feel cramped and the little extra touches like access to subscription services on the tv was absolutely the cherry on top. THANK YOU

Nothing about the proper was bad, if I was forced to consider something that could be improved it would only be that the bathroom facilities although beautiful seemed flimsy and I was worried something might break.

Great property on edge of Helensburgh. Easy walk into the main area. Fab log burner and comfy couch and beds. Booked very last minute and was a wonderful trip. Great communication too.
