Modern Traditional Apartment with Maltese Internal Court Yard - Designed with Traditional Stone and Tiling

The location was fantastic, the apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and bathroom is modern with good water pressure. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would recommend the apartment to anyone looking to stay in Valletta.

A couple of minor things stopped this being a 10 out 10 review. The code we were given to retrieve the keys from the lock box was incorrect, we messaged the host but received no reply and after 15 decided to try different combinations of the number provided until we got it right. When booking we asked for the sofa bed to be made up, upon check-in the sofa bed had not be made and no bedding had been provided. We again messaged the host and bedding was provided the next day.

Location, ease of communication with owners, size of appartment.

The appartment has a BIG problem with dampness & humidity, and consequently also it smells. The entrance is scuffy and needs a good clean and paint..The courtyard is also scruffy and dirty, the courtyard floor has green mold growing in the floor natural tiles, it needs a good power wash, Also the courtyard has a very large quantity of mosquito flys, the presence of these mosquitoes meant that we could not even leave the door or any windows open to allow some fresh air in. The dampness and humidity in the appartment is so bad that the wallpaper is falling away from the walls! I reported this problem and had a quick reply from Adam, who advise me that due to the local limestone used in these buildings that some humidity can occur and to combat the issue you supply a de-humidifier, sadly the humidifier is not sufficient. I also do not agree with Adam’s comments, I have previously lived in similar Appartments in Valetta, as do many of my relatives as I am uk/Maltese, none of any other places I have stayed at in Valetta WITH natural limestone suffer with as much dampness and humidity as this place. Sadly this made our accommodation uncomfortable and we did not enjoy the accommodation. There needs to be urgent attention to this place, it is unacceptable.

In an exceptional location, easy access to all parts of Valletta. this historical apartment is very special and beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed the stay

We booked for a family of four, arrived late at night and the sofa bed was not set up, no sheets and blankets left out for us to make up the bed. The following day we found sheets in a drawer and blankets and pillows under the bed and made up the bed ourselves. I think this is pretty poor service

Pretty clean. Right in the city center. There is internet, TV with Netflix and Youtube. Kitchen with everything you need for cooking.

The apartment smells bad - like a basement. There are no windows to the street - in fact, this room is windowless. There are mosquitoes in the room, which interferes with sleeping. The apartment does not have mosquito repellent. The locks work poorly. Extremely cold floors - there are tiles on the floor and the apartment is on the lowest floor, but there were no slippers available. Two persons stayed for two for 5 nights, but there were only 4 toilet paper rolls with very thin, poor-quality paper. The roll itself was very small. Dish washing gel was diluted, an it was in a small amount - I had to take the soap from the toilet. Very poor communication from the administration. For example, I asked if the apartment had European-style adapter sockets - the answer was "they will put one as a gesture of a good will, because they are often stolen". When I arrived - the hotel had them in every socket and they were there all the time. I had to buy several in advance unnecessarily. The service requires double registration on a third-party website outside of booking, where you have to add a passport photo. I come from a European country where GDPR is a major thing. Copying documents is actually not allowed in European countries and I should have the right to receive a service with a minimum amount of personal data, especially since this is not a hotel but private apartments. I should have the right to refuse the reservation without justification, but the reservation without free cancellation options, which was not offered to me in communication with the staff. Very late check-in - at 16:00. This is not adequate, considering that it is already dark at 17:00. I arrived at 8:00 and asked to be informed if the apartment would be ready earlier. I received an affirmative answer. When I arrived at about 15: 30 pm at the apartment - the apartment was ready for occupancy, but no one informed me about it. It would be normal to check in at 14:00, max 15:00..

info about access in the website was confusing and this continued in contact with the host.. We had to be out by 10 and were allowed in at 4 pm. I protedted about 4 pm and was allowed in before 12 but the host was not open with us.

Location was good. Was very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Sofa was a bit uncomfortable. Could use some curtains or something in the bedroom to block the morning light.
