Beautiful Cornish barn in the stunning Lamorna valley with large garden

The setting of the propoerty is stunning, so peaceful and loads of great walks. Although feels remote actually really close to Mousehole and Newlyn.

Nothing really only maybe a light over the cooker.

Lovely secluded barn in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Everything we needed was in the cottage for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfy and loved the open plan layout of everything. Having the woodburner was great because the evenings did get cold but this made the world of difference to have a good bit of heat which warmed the place up fairly quickly. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a bonus and the milk and biscuits left by the host was a very welcome treat. The hosts very friendly/helpful and easy to communicate with.

We loved the log burner and cosy feel to the barn. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice touch to leave us milk, biscuits and tea and coffee. Comfy beds. Lots of hot water. Wi-fi was good. Location suited us, but might be a bit remote for some. Great communication from hosts.

Be aware that the main bedroom is a mezzanine, so you can’t move around downstairs too early! Coats hooks and a draught excluder would be great extra touches.

Fabulous, comfortable, secluded barn, close to town but right in the country!

Very quiet area with no street lights so excellent for star gazing. Garden bench to sit out for meals. Private parking, big rooms. The host provided lots of useful information regarding the area, where to shop and eat etc.

Beautiful location and accommodation, really liked the fact there was tea and coffee with milk in the fridge when u got there, very peaceful location.

I realise this is a converted barn but the cobwebs in the wardrobe, on the cooking utensils and on the walls was not very nice and my grandson had two of his building bricks go under the leather sofa so we moved it to get them and the level of dirt and food bits was pretty awful so I think the cleaning needs to be stepped up slightly.

A beautiful and unique property in a beautiful valley. The living room was gorgeous, love the exposed granite stone, the wood burner, the big window and the mezzanine level. The patio was great for sitting in the morning sun with a coffee. Reported a small problem with the shower and our hosts were very responsive. Lovely to walk through the woods from our door to the river then onwards for about a mile to the sea. There were some good books and puzzles provided. You don’t need to bring any kitchen utensils, everything we needed was there, including a coffee plunger 😊.

Being super picky here… I know it’s an old building but there were loads of cobwebs and if I was cleaning the place I would hoover them all up! I had to rearrange the flowers as they were old and needed refreshing. The kitchen and the shower could do with a modern refit, but it was all functional. It would have been nice to have actually seen the hosts, they sounded lovely over email but felt a bit odd not to see them in person! The house is quite open plan, the double bed is on the mezzanine level at the top of the stairs overlooking the living room and only the bathroom and children’s bedroom have doors. It worked ok for us (2 adults and a 1 older child) but worth knowing if you’d rather have a more private bedroom!

A very old barn converted into fantastic accommodation, with all that you need to hand. The information we received from the owners before we arrived was first class with lots of information about the local shops and the surrounding areas.

The fire! Having said that we come from a house with gas fire and radiators but after the time of lighting it was fine Not a dislike
