Atmosphere Kanifushi - Premium All Inclusive with Free Transfers

We would not go back even if the stay were free. For our group of 5 adults and 2 children (aged 8 and 3), we booked 3 rooms for 4 nights and paid a total of €18,100 — roughly €1,500 per night. For the room with one adult and one child, we paid the same as for a room with two adults. To start with, when we arrived at Malé airport, things seemed a bit disorganized. We were left waiting there for a while before being taken to a lounge where we stayed for barely two minutes. When we arrived at the hotel by seaplane, the welcome was nice — the drum greeting and the tour you gave us around the resort were pleasant touches. It seemed like the hotel and the team were going to live up to our expectations. For context, we’ve previously stayed at two resorts in the Maldives: Constance Moofushi and One&Only Reethi Rah. Our first disappointment came at the buffet lunch on the first day — almost all the food was spicy. What was supposed to be an international buffet felt more like a cheap Indian restaurant. The à la carte restaurants weren’t much better. Furthermore, there is a BIG problem in every restaurant on tagging allergens in food. This was a complete mess, with specially gluten and dairy products being wrongly tagged or not tagged at all. We would never advise an allergic to come here AT ALL. In fact, one of our children is allergic to gluten and in the main restaurant he was served wheat pasta (it had bad consequences for the kid). The waiters and cooks have no idea about food allergies. Next, the beaches didn’t meet our expectations either. They were full of seaweed and coral, making it almost impossible to walk comfortably on the sand. Another disappointment — not to call it a trap — happened when we went to the diving center to book a snorkeling excursion for the next day. We were told that the snorkeling trip was included in our package, and they tricked us into selecting a paid one without telling us beforehand.

Everything was perfect, the people here are very respectful, they are warm, they are wonderful. New Year's Eve was magical, we felt very good and we enjoyed it a lot. Congratulations for the organization, you are wonderful. We will come back again, for sure! Our house with the pool was perfect. Congratulations for the way you treat everyone! Bravo! Nichts grosses, alles war top. Ändern würde ich den Stil (alles vereinheitlichen Bsp Dekoration/Möbel in den Restaurants), mehr Kinderfahrräder, die Musik war tw sehr laut & wir hörten sie von der Bar auch noch im Zimmer am Abend, es störte uns aber nicht gross, da wir immer müde waren und keine Einschlafprobleme hatten.

We stayed in the Kanifushi Residence, although expensive, well worth it. Very spacious, amazing pool and beach access, and overall this villa took our stay to the next level. Our personal butler Ayaan was so attentive and managed to accommodate all of our requests, even last minute changes. Thank You Ayaan for making our stay so great. Food in the A la carte restaurants is a notch above the buffet in our opinion. However it’s worth noting that the gala dinner on Christmas Eve (coupled with the pre dinner Christmas events) was out of this world - honestly one of the most extravagant buffets I’ve been to.

The resort is 12 years old and it shows in some places (some exterior parts are due for renovations), but interiors are modern and super clean. The general buffet for dinner was good but not as good as some other resorts (both in variety and quality).

We stayed in the grand pool villa, The villa itself was nice. Some of the restaurants were very good and staff were helpful.

They are not really all inclusive, only the main restaurant “spice” is included for all 3 meals, and we didn’t like it at all, there are 3 other restaurants (pier 6, sunset and veg) dinner is included for 1 of them during our stay of 4 nights and they are actually good. You can have lunch at the other restaurants with the exception of pier 6. Service overall is ok but there is a lot of room for improvement.
