GBWhat a wonderful week we all had in cottage gigi,in the beautiful Hamlet of Ruota. The location, in the mountains was absolutely stunning. Great for walks in the pure mountain air. The views were breathtaking. Our hosts Luigi and his daughter Sylvia were fantastic and so welcoming. Sylvia runs the bar in the village and we had great fun here in the evening . I've rarely met a friendlier place and lovelier people. Everyone is happy to see you. There's even a deli van that arrives in the village on Thursday morning and sells just about everything. This was a perfect location to explore Lucca and the surrounding area and we easily got the train to Florence from Lucca for the day. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and be among the loveliest of people, then this is the place to stay.

HUThis is a charming Villa in Ruota. We loved everything about it. Ruota is a very chill city. If you are looking for that Tuscany feeling you will have it here. AC is a must on hotter days and especially on the second floor. Kitchen is well equipped.Very clean. Fast wifi.
For those who struggle on strairs might be hard to get to the bedrooms. The villa has strairs.
