Maplewood luxurious one-bed flat with free parking

The owner was very quick to respond helping me to access the property easily. The location was good for the station and restaurants. The rooms were very generous in size. A separate table and chairs to eat at was nice.

Unfortunately the bath/shower didn’t work when we arrived and although the shower was fixed the same day I had specifically chosen the apartment because it had a bath but couldn’t use it during my stay. I know a lot of people wouldn’t necessarily cook but we like to mix eating out with cooking for ourselves when we’re away so we were disappointed to find the kitchen utensils were very old, tired and mismatched, not a whole crockery set and there was only one wine glass so it wasn’t as pleasant sharing a glass of wine with our meal as we’d have liked.

Great location for access to train station and town. Very spacious aparyment with washing machine.

The space and everything was in the property so I had everything on hand

I’ve stayed here quite a few times and I like everything about the apartment - it’s well equipped and really comfortable

There’s nothing not to like

The property was much bigger than I imagined. It was very quiet, bright, clean and toiletries and kitchen cleaning products were provided. A few minutes walk from St Albans City overground station. The host was responsive

No dishwasher and how to operate the heater was difficult to figure out. A manual would have been useful. Also the parking permit was not available which made me anxious about leaving my car in the parking lot

Good space and location. Host was helpful when we wanted to put heating on.

Tricky to put heating on and the water tank only was enough for 2 showers. The water boost didn’t heat the water quick enough so not all of us could shower in the mornings. Table leg fell off when we lifted it to be able to put the sofa beds out.
