Nothing. I weirdly had thought it was first floor and the yellow door was the entrance to stairs but it is ground floor

We loved the location! Same block as the beach... it doesn't get much better than that! Being in a first-floor flat was also good for us, and we were thrilled with all of the kid friendly amenities. The books, toys, kid potty seat, and indoor swing were all huge hits with our kids (4 and 2) and made our stay all the more pleasant.

The dryer wasn't working, but the host sent over a drying rack and had the dryer repaired. My parents, who are in their late 60s, stayed with us, and they had a hard time with the dim lighting in some rooms. That didn't bother me or my husband though, and there seemed to be a lot of extra lamps everywhere.

We loved how homy it was and that it was right in front of the beach. The apartment was so inviting and was perfect for my 3 year old toddler. It even came with beach toys and a swing!!! We had such a great time.

The rugs and the couch were a little dusty but not too bad.

Location and beds and towels were good. The apartment was spacious. The TV was good.

The lounge seating was very uncomfortable. The laundry facilities were poor. The drier door would not stay closed and so it did not work. The washing machine was smelly and soap dispenser was dirty. The dishwasher stopped working and on investigation we found the loose laid socket ( on a piece of containers under the kick board) that was faulty . Beneath the kitchen units there was a range of mouse traps and poison, and rubbish, and a mummified mouse caught in a trap. It was a bit rich taking a £150 deposit, the apartment needs an update in the appliance and kitchen units area. This deposit was demanded prior to getting in. We paid £200 per night for the apartment and for that we expect a much better prepared property for our stay. The sink mixer tap was not secure and needs the mounting nut tightening. The sofas were stained and uncomfortable. Most of the issues can easily be rectified but need sorting.

The location of this flat is wonderful - steps from the beach, pubs, cafes, grocery stores and bus stops, with and a short 15-20 min bus ride into the core of Edinburgh. The size was very comfortable for our family of 5 and it waa great to be able to spread out after days on the road. The decor is whimsical and cozy and made the stay feel very homey. Access was easy and the management was very responsive with the one thing we needed to connect about.

There is no parking stall (as advertised) and we were travelling with a car. Some days were easier than other to find a spot in the neighbourhood. We were always successful (our visit was in March but over a bank holiday).
