Modern Refurbished Church nr Butt of Lewis beaches

The location was perfect for visiting family. The accommodation was warm, comfortable, modern with a spacious living area and excellent shower.

The only thing I would suggest would be to have some lighting in the kitchen area which didn't involve using the main ceiling lights. Just gives a cosier look and feel.

The house is beautifully fitted out and decorated ! It's very spacious and all rooms are well sized. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location while still appreciating the high speed broadband. (For the football !) Easy walking distance to Port Ness and Butt of Lewis and just a short drive away are the Cross Stores that have just about everything needed for a stay !

I really can't think of any faults with the place or location !

Beautifully decorated, finished to a very high standard. Very cosy and has everything you need. A great base for exploring the island. A gorgeous setting being surrounded by fields. If you are swaying whether to book, just do it! A highlight of our stay to have somewhere so lovely to relax at the end of the day, we honestly didn't want to leave

Very nice design and thoughtful

Utterly wowwed! What a fantastic job you’ve done on the conversion. Spacious, luxurious and beautifully thought-through. We ‘couried in’ cosy and warm with the fire on our first night. And walked the headland taking in the lighthouse, cliffs and seabirds to the sun-soaked Eoropaidh Dunes on our second day. A perfect house to come back to!

The accommodation is exceptional. It is comfortable and welcoming. Careful thought has been given to the renovation of the Mission House and the result is a superb, modern and functional design that is easy and delightful to use. Everything that we could have wanted of holiday home accommodation was at hand. As a very recently completed modernisation, it has a particularly fresh and new feel to the place. The host was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions. We are particularly grateful for the efforts made to turn around our queries speedily and to make us feel welcomed. They clearly have a love of the place and are keen to make it available to others. The location is spectacular. The Mission House is situated on machair land which was in full bloom when we were there. The calm of the cattle grazing around the house and the variety of birdlife was a daily delight. Access to the beach was easy, as was access to the local sports centre. Local facilities, such as shops and cafés are great, and the sense of community is strong. All in all, it was a fantastic 11 days, and I would highly recommend a stay at the Mission House.

Amazing property that’s had a lot of time and money spent to get it so lovely. Very modern and well thought out with lovely little touches. Was exceptionally clean, everything in it is brand new. Great communication from host with any queries. We liked the location, was quite windy due to being exposed but it felt like you were escaping the everyday stresses, the main reason we came to Lewis. The property is surrounded by sheep which is nice however keep this in mind if bringing dogs, there isn’t a garden area as such to let them off. We just walked our little one across the road so really not an issue for us. Overall a really lovely stay but we did run into problems with the ferry and couldn’t stay on in the house due to cleaners schedules, even though it was empty. Worth keeping in mind too when booking a property through a company rather than a local, as ferry cancellations can happen a lot which we found out this weekend and had to stay on another couple of days again. If you’re thinking of booking go for it, you won’t be disappointed as it’s an amazing place!

The only thing that I’d mention here is the ring doorbell recording everything, little off putting when you’re on a wee relaxing escape trying to get away from the world of technology. Made us really conscious going in and out with dog, especially late at night as it pings an alert.
