Riverside Bothy In Heart of Scenic Harbour Village

What a cosy and comfortable little cottage with secure garden for our dog, right in the middle of Solva by the harbour Fully equipped with everything you needed and very clean Contact with owners was first class from booking onwards

We were sent the key code prior to our arrival. A beautiful cottage in a private road close to the harbour. The cottage was clean with delightful cottage decor, a short walk to the small town of Salvo. This was the final stay of our tour of Wales. We regret not finding it sooner, if we had we could have stayed longer

Location. Quietness. Convenience.

No place with a mirror for my wife to dry. Her hair. No laudry detergent.

The location was the best as hikes and restauraunts all within walking distance.

A little small as expected but kitchen area tiny (could only fit one person at a time).

The village where the house is located is nice and provided with pubs and shops. The position of the house is strategic, close to S. Davids and other beautiful beaches/hikes. Considering the very turistic area, the price is absolutely fair. The host is professional and available for any needs. The house comes with the essential (coffee, tea, towels, and sheets), and it is functional. It also has 2 bathrooms, which are unexpected, being the house quite small. If you spend the majority of the time out, the house is the perfect size. Nice garden with indirect access from the house. The bed is comfortable, and you have multiple choices between different pillows

The check-in is too late! Basically, on the first day, you can do nothing apart from settling and having dinner. No times for walks, nothing. And of course, check out at 10, so early. Too much time that you can't justify in any way, being the place small and easy to clean. Also, the house was fairly clean, but not as clean as you would expect it, with potentially 6 hours to clean. For example, the sheets were fresh, but one stain on the pillow was present. You have no privacy whatsoever downstairs as you have one car parked literally one meter from the door. There are curtains, of course, but you have to decide if you prioritize having some light in the house or privacy. Personal opinion about the furniture (that hasn't influenced my rating): downstairs, it seems like spare parts from other places have been used, and the house per se would have a lot of potential (like in the bedroom upstairs)

The location brilliant. The village is lovely, the people are lovely.

The bothy needed a good spruce up, it looked so uncared for. Needed fresh paint throughout the carpets were scagged, unfortunately there was cobwebs everywhere and even a large spider by the side of my bed. Mold spots in both bathrooms which is easy to get rid of. The kitchen table was so marked it could have used a tablecloth. The upstairs bathroom didn't work tidy.

Could do with a few little fixes here and there but nothing that spoilt the stay

The location was great - close to the stream and very central to the beautiful village of Solva. The cottage was small but comfortable and the bedroom in particular was lovely - the bed was very comfortable. There was a note from the lady who cleans, with her number in case we needed anything, which was reassuring ( we didn’t need to use it though). The kitchen was well equipped for us to make breakfast and our packed lunch ( we ate out in the evenings).

It would have been good to have parking near the cottage, but the permit worked well in the car park a short distance away.
