Artistic hideaway within York’s ancient city walls

A really beautiful property with everything you could need. Well appointed and the location is fabulous. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hosts were helpful and the treats were very much appreciated. We will be back

Nothing. The wine glasses were quite small but it just meant we got more steps in going to the fridge more regularly 😂

Great quiet location with parking permit. Easy 10-12 minute walk into town. Very nicely decorated with some great art work and very comfy bed, great bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Lovely outside courtyard sadly wrong time of the year to appreciate it. Great communications with the owners Emily and Rowan and there was even a birthday card and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for me! Will recommend to friends, and maybe return again ourselves.

Location is great! Only a few minutes walk to the city centre. The house is lovely and cosy. The area was quiet and relaxing.

Gorgeous house in a great location. Car parking was a real bonus. Comfortable, clean and welcoming

Boiler kept cutting out, so it was tricky getting hot water. No washing up liquid in kitchen.

Bathroom, very difficult to step in and out of the shower. Toilet difficult to flush. Boiler is located in the bed…never experienced that before woken up several time by noise of the boiler operating

Property was central and perfect for our 3 night staff ! Had everything we needed and was cozy and clean. Communication with owners was quick and always helpful.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like l, as overall the stay was great. However, so minor feedback - stair configuration was a little challenging at night, but if you’re careful you get use to them. This is a personal opinion, and even though the bed was super comfortably, I found the pillows needed to be a little firmer. but I would have liked

Great location and nicely decorated. Lovely hosts who communicated well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The bathroom floods with every shower and the heating didn’t really work during our stay. We were able to use some little space heaters so it wasn’t a huge issue. A thicker duvet and some new pillows probably wouldn’t go amiss! A lot of reviews mention the step outside the bathroom but it’s an old house and it’s going to have its quirks (like the half bath) it’s not really an issue for us. The house had everything we needed and the any issues we did have the hosts were more than happy to assist with.

The location was fantastic. The house was modern, clean and well decorated. Parking was an added bonus too.

The property was quite cold and took a while to heat up.
