Lock Keepers Cottage, Loch Ness Cottage Collection

The house is historical, beautifully decorated and in a great location (you can watch the lock from the living room and upstairs bedrooms). We were a party of 5 and the 3 double bedrooms each with en suite was really convenient and the kitchen/living open plan space with wood burner was a welcome social space where we entertained up to a further four guests comfortably for food and drink.

There were just a couple of small rubs that took the edge off what would have been an exceptional stay- communication with the property was always with a different person (managed by a company not private owner) and sometimes had a delay with reply. Facilities great apart from one broken extractor fan which meant steam from the bathroom set the fire alarm off. Household supplies were really restricted which was disappointing considering the cost of rental, and caused inconvenience e.g were only left one toilet roll for each bathroom so ran out midweek, same for dishwasher tablets - were promised further supplies which never arrived. We were renting for a family get together and really didn’t want to be doing a Tesco shop in the middle of it all, would have preferred a heads up beforehand and would have brought our own.

AMAZING! This little place is so nice! The perfect place to stay in the Highlands It has so much character, is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very spacious and bathrooms a great size. The best accommodation & most comfortable bed for our entire 6 week trip, it was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it! Great location with great view. Highly recommend!

Nothing, it was amazing!

The cottage was charming and so perfect for three couples. Just far enough out of town to be relaxing but a quick drive into the city for restaurants. The beds were so comfortable and all allowed privacy.

No complaints.

Clean, tidy, good facilities, kind hosts.

Location was excellent right on the canal And easy access to the lochness tour. So much fun to see the sailboats and boats stop at the loch.

They give bare minimum when it comes to things like dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent etc

Très beau cottage, idéalement situé au bord du canal Calédonien prolongeant le Loch Ness, à proximité d'Inverness. L'emplacement est très calme et paisible, idéal pour rayonner dans la région et explorer les Highlands. Le cottage est parfaitement agencé, chaque chambre est une suite, décorée avec soin et très confortable, avec sa propre salle de bain. Le cottage dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires, et est très fonctionnel. Les hôtes sont parfaits, disponibles, réactifs et efficaces.

Semaine un peu pluvieuse...mais qui ne nous a pas empêché de profiter de notre séjour !

Estaba muy limpio, la casa muy cómoda y amplia. Con todo lo necesario en la cocina por si quieres desayunar o cenar ahí.
