Very beautiful apartment with vibes of twentieth century beatniks. Good view from the window and great evening atmosphere with the phonograph and cool collection of the best music albums 👍

Everything was great, and as expected: location, facilities etc., but a turntable, stereo and a box of great vinyl records was just pure gold! Superb, this is beyond 10! Will be back for sure!

Central location, super close to the tram. You can walk anywhere. It is a small apartment, located in the big apartment, that has 4 small studios inside. Host super helpful and speedy with replies. Check in easy with clear instructions.

I recently stayed at True Zagreb for two weeks and wanted to share my experience, particularly given the high rating it has received. The property’s location is indeed very convenient, with easy access to amenities, such as grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. It’s ideally situated near the city centre, which made it easy to explore the area. The room itself was clean, spacious, and cosy, which was a positive aspect. The bathroom was also pleasant, though there were a few safety concerns (see below). The heating system kept the room warm during my winter stay, but at times, it became overly warm as the radiator regulator didn’t seem to function properly. Wi-Fi was adequate.

Unfortunately, there were several issues that detracted from my stay. There was major construction work taking place across the street from 7 am daily, which made it difficult to rest. Additionally, construction workers often stared into my living space from the building’s roof, leaving me to keep the blinds down more than I would have liked. This might be something to consider, particularly for solo female travellers. The noise from the street-facing side of the property was also disruptive, and I could hear everything from outside. Another downside was the lack of a shower mat in the bathroom, which made the floor slippery after using body wash or shampoo—this is a safety concern that should be addressed. Additionally, one of the towels provided was stained, which I found off-putting given the frequent turnover of guests. When I opened the bathroom window to get some fresh air, I was greeted by cigarette smoke from outside, which was unpleasant. The duvet cover had rips in two places, and the duvet itself was stained, which was disappointing. The TV didn’t work properly either, with local channels either being unwatchable or heavily disrupted. Despite reporting this, the issue was never resolved, and I did not receive any follow-up from the owner unless asked for it. The kitchen facilities also left something to be desired. The microwave was in poor condition, and the freezer hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The kitchen was equipped with only basic utensils, plates, and a couple of pots, which limited its functionality for those who may want to cook during their stay. It states that there is no smoking on the property however twice during my stay there was intense cigarette smoke which was coming from the joint corridor into my room. While True Zagreb could be a decent option for those looking for basic, short term accommodation near the city centre, it could benefit from more attention to maintenance and detail.
