Red Pine Mountain Retreat steps from the Cabriolet

The amenities are nice - pool, hot tub, sauna. The bed is comfortable, and it's convenient to be able to do a load of laundry. The location in general is pretty decent; Canyons is much quieter than the other side of the resort (but "steps from the Cabriolet" is a bit of a stretch). The hosts are pleasant and enthusiastic.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed in myself for booking this stay. Mountain towns are expensive, but the value for the money wasn't there with this place (but to be fair, that sentiment extends to most everything about Park City...prices are high). The apartment was tired - moldy shower curtain, stained linens and furniture, dirty dishes in the cabinets. And you are on the bottom floor, so you'll get to hear the people above you walking around in their ski boots. But perhaps my biggest gripe, aside from the price, was the lack of hot water. I don't need a long shower, but a hot shower after getting in from the airport doesn't feel like a lot to ask for.

While it is as advirtised as steps from cabriolet lift it was still about a 10 to 15 min walk depending if uphill or downhill

It is conveniently located to get to Cantons center and to drive to Park City. The Red Pines are dated but perfect if you want a cottage. This unit has a well stocked kitchen and a luxurious king size bed. The bathroom is small so best for a couple not a foursome.

The pool and the hot tub were closed in September.

Convenient location. Price point per day was great. Quiet location with convenient parking. Kitchen was pretty well equipped with everything we needed.

A lot of steps up and down to get to unit. Drain in bathroom sink was horrible. It backed up as soon as you turned water on. The wall sconce light in the bedroom pulled away from the plaster and had to be wedged between the headboard and wall. There was absolutely no drawer space in the bedroom to store clothes. When you stay over 2 weeks, it would be nice to have a drawer or 2 to put some clothes. We stored them on top of the end tables on either side of the bed.

There was a complete kitchen with a full range of pots, pans, spices, cooking utensils... and a nice big fridge for any food storage. Full silverware and plates as well. The porch was great, nice and shady in the afternoon/evening so it was great for reading. The pool was very close, though a map of the area would probably be a nice inclusion in the future.

There was a damaged lamp and pillow, which I communicated to the owner quickly to let her know they needed fixing. Response times were very quick, which was very appreciated.
