Spacious Luxury apartment at the heart of Budapest

The apartment was extremely large. And the beds themselves comfortable. Two decent sized bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. It was generally warm and well equiped. There were a lot of normally useful things such as Salt / Pepper / Oil / Baking paper / etc. However we were aprehensive using them due to the cleanliness. The location was great, close to the train station / trams, and walking distance to some nice areas. The price was quite ok, for a capital city in a central location.

Generally the apartment was quite dirty. To the point where we felt the need to wash anything before it was used. There can be no excuses for this in my opinion. Regardless of how much you have paid! We stayed 3 nights (Fri/Sat/Sun). The apartment is more or less directly above a nightclub called Peaches & Cream. There was an extreme amount of noise on both the Friday and Saturday night, from both the club itself, the people outside and the traffic driving by (men in car playing loud music, cruising for girls presumably). I am a heavy sleeper but this disturbed me a lot There was an horrible smell in the apartment from the moment we arrived. It was clearly the drains as it was the same smell we encountered around the city in numerous placed. Having used the shower on the first morning i noticed the smell had reduced somewhat. I therefore decided to run some water into the bathtub in case the drain had dried up, all this succeeded in doing was blowing a smoke smell into the bathroom (presumably from the club downstairs). Our towels smelled like cigarettes for the remainder of the stay. Luckily was had spares. The smell returned sadly, and hit us in the face everytime we returned. There was en extremely badly fitted AC unit in the bedroom (see photo). This did nothing to help the noise and also caused a cold draft. In general the attention to detail overall was lacking. One of the reasons we booked the apartment was because we thought it had free street parking (over the weekend). Of course I should have realised that with this being a major city it was going to be very hit and miss finding a space on the weekend. I ended up using a secure underground garage. The owner helpfully provided some advise on this. It was a short walk, but unloading all our luggage was a challenge, as there was no where to park close to the apartment whilst we did this. We paid €70 for 3 days.

Posizione super comoda e centrale, lo staff risponde subito ed è disponibile. Alloggio carino e moderno.

non c’è un gran livello di pulizia e ci sono tanti oggetti lasciati da persone in quell’appartamento (peluche, ciabatte, cibo, etc), che andrebbero tolti. La carta igienica era troppo poco e l’abbiamo dovuta ricomprare. Asciugamani macchiati di candeggina e il piumone era sporco. Consiglio più attenzione al cliente.

The apartment was wonderful and so grand! The bedrooms were cosy and plenty of bedding, pillows etc. Very warm if you wanted it but also had air con if you like it cooler. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need to cook for yourself, make coffee, wash clothes etc. Perfectly placed in the centre of town with many, many restaurants and shops right on your doorstep. Absolutely wonderful apartment with very helpful and friendly hosts. Would definitely rent this apartment again for my next stay in beautiful Budapest.
