Mahbubakhon Guest house in old city

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The guesthouse is within walking distance to the main attractions, making it a very convenient base for exploring Bukhara. The host went above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable, which I truly appreciated. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious, generous, and impressively varied every morning. The rooms are newly built, spacious, and nicely furnished, with clean bathrooms. It's a family-run guesthouse, and every member of the family was warm, friendly, and helpful. The host’s daughter speaks fluent English, which made communication very smooth. Special mention to the mother, who was exceptionally efficient and caring in preparing breakfast. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay in Bukhara.

Fantastic location and nice, clean rooms. The young daughter of the owner was great--she spoke good English and went out of her way to help guests.

The only small negative was that, other than the daughter, no one that works there speaks any English. So when the daughter's gone, it's very difficult to communicate unless you speak Russian.

The house is gorgeous! It used to belong to (and is named after) a famous lady teacher from Bukhara. It is run by a family of intellectuals, who have renovated everything from scratch, with great love and care for details. The ceilings of carved wood, the decorations of the entrance sitting room and of the terrace, the 200 year old original entrance door, the design of the windows, the visitable rooftop, the rooms & bathrooms... all speak for good taste and care. The house is in an excellent location, just near the Lab-i Hauz (main square) of the old city. Despite its very central location, it is quite and peaceful. The entire family engages in the running of the House. We were welcome with tea, kind words and by lovely, 21 year old and English speaking Mufarrah. Her mother cooks freshly, hearty, tasty, very rich and varied breakfasts (suitable for all tastes). We loved siting on the terrace and talking to Grandfather Bahotir. The room was very comfortable, everything in the house is new, spotless clean and well manteined. The internet is working well. The family works hard and is heartedly trying to tend for any need of their guests. Mufarrah and her father took us to Samarkand, and made sure that we have arrived safely at our destination. Everyone was so attentive to us, noticing every detail, for example asking if we would like tea, or milk in the coffee, bringing a clean ashtray, helping with luggage, seeing us out to the street, and so on ... We felt like home. This family made the experience of Bukhara so much warmer and nicer for us. Unforgettable. Thank you dear hosts. We wish Mufarrah a lot of success in her studies.

Very nice hotel, very nicely located. Stayed just for an afternoon, owner took us to the train station for 30k.

What a lovely guesthouse within the Old part of Bukhara. Was able to walk everywhere to visit all the attractions, and surrounded by many restaurants. Room and bathroom were very spacious with complete amenities and little touches like toothbrush, cotton buds, bedroom slippers etc. Also, it was cheaper than my guesthouse in Old Khiva

More meat at breakfast would be nice as I could not eat all the bread due to gluten intolerance.

The guesthouse is new, clean and comfortable. It is located right within the historic center between all main sights. The breakfast is huge and delicious. The only (possible) downside is that only the daughter speaks English, so communication can be complicated.
