Caravelle Resort Studio w Balcony Pools Lazy River

The room was just like the online pics and smelled great upon arrival. Beds were super comfy. The hotel's location and amenities were wonderful. The cute, stocked gift shop was also good, and the gentleman who waited on us was great! We ate right next door 2 times at the River City Cafe which was so good! Loved it being right there beside us. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Booking.com had the wrong hotel advertised. We booked the Caravelle but ended up (after booking) going to the Grande Cayman Hotel (next to it). It threw us off a bit, but everything worked out. The carpeted hall that led to our room needed to be cleaned as it had a funky smell, and knats would swarm around us as we walked to and from the room. It's on the ground floor and is near the pool area so it should be cleaned more often. As soon as you walk in the door, you see where the cleaning person leaves the mop sitting in the mop bucket, which needed to be replaced....it was DRY so she didn't even sweep and mop our room before we arrived. We could not check in even 1 hour early, yet the cleaning person couldn't seem to get all her cleaning in:/ Under the bathroom sink area it could have been a little more tidy. Items should not be left out on an open shelf in the bathroom - we had a toddler with us, and although we kept a close watch, it would be safer if this were corrected. Right off, I can remember seeing a gallon paint can, cleaning items, and a plunger, etc.

Smelled like pot in hall ways

The room itself was fantastic and looked exactly like the pictures. The property has great amenities for the kids including a big water slide that my kids loved.

While the room itself is nice the property is dated. The hallway you have to walk down to get to the room is rough, with carpet that is old and smells like mildew. That hallway also flooded during our stay after a thunderstorm hit the area. Leaving 2 to 3 inches of standing water in the hallway which nearly made it's way into the room itself.
