"Great potential with a bit of TLC!"

Check in/out was great, key codes provided with clear instructions. Location was good for our requirements. Beds were comfortable.

There was a smell that lingered. Cigarettes and something more! The bedding looked and felt clean but also smelled musty/smoky. Need more mirrors in bedrooms. Bathroom mirror was far too small. Kitchen was clean and functional but selection of utensils wasn’t practical.

"Would have had no TV over Christmas if I hadn't driven all the way home to get a replacement"

Location

Arrived to find that the TV screen had been cracked by the previous guests. This was not evident until the TV was switched on. Couldn't get hold of the management company so had to drive all the way back to our home to get a TV from there. We were staying over Christmas week so it was important to have a TV. Finally managed to get hold of the agents who promised a 10% refund for the inconvenience. Despite a couple of further attempt to contact them, I am still waiting for the refund 3 months later. Clearly there had been a party there with the previous guests. The curtain rail was damaged close to the TV which was clearly due to someone grabbing hold of it as they fell into TV. Beer bottle caps under the bed. I haven't put this review on until now to give the owners an opportunity to "do the right thing". They haven't despite a promise of a refund. If you're stags and hens enjoy wrecking the place because that's all its fit for!!

"Comfortable house in convenient location"

It was an absolutely excellent stay. The house is pretty basic but has everything you need, with super comfy beds and lots of space for five of us. The location is perfect too.

No negatives to report. Though maybe more towels would be good.
