Our stay at the tower was truly unforgettable. The room was not only beautiful, but also full of character, with a unique charm that made the whole experience feel very special. The tower itself is stunning, a perfect blend of history and comfort, and we felt immediately at home. Gianluca was very kind, attentive, and very willing to help with anything we needed. His warm hospitality made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was served at a lovely little café nearby, where we enjoyed delicious coffee and a pastry. Overall, everything was perfect: the place, the atmosphere, and above all the hospitality. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable stay in Italy.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte ed è stato tutto perfetto!!!

Io e la mia compagna siamo stati in questa location incantevole per una sola notte, ma ne è valsa davvero la pena. La torre consente di avere una vista panoramica su Viterbo. Ottimamente posizionata (centralissima con parcheggio nelle vicinanze), abbina relax (zero rumori e fastidi) e tutti i comfort (climatizzatore, macchinetta caffè, Wi-Fi, ma soprattutto la vasca in camera stile terme, di cui ci siamo innamorati). Gianluca, l'host di Torre Subrosa, nonostante non fosse presente fisicamente per motivi personali, anche a distanza è stato molto premuroso e attento a soddisfare tutte le nostre richieste, e ci ha dato ottimi consigli su dove mangiare e cosa poter visitare in zona. Volete visitare Viterbo? Beh, questa è la giusta location per pernottare.

We loved the room, the location and the host was very nice. He did a special extra and it was great. The bathroom, bath, bed and the WiFi for the room was great. The building itself is beautiful.

Nothing I didn't like about the experience.

Staying in a medieval tower from 1100 is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Dante stayed in this tower while writing some of his famous works. The room is very nice. Very comfortable bed. Well appointed room. Great breakfast at Bar Rodolfo - excellent cappacino. Location is perfect / adjacent to historical center. Parking close by. Small grocery store very close to the tower. Owner very responsive and helpful.

The property is very unique in that it is on the fourth floor of an ancient tower in the city center.

Well this was different; a fourteen century tower that apparently was mentioned by Dante and that still had traces of original frescoes. The room at the top of the tower had been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The owner kept in close contact by phone to ensure that everything was as it should be. Breakfast was taken in an excellent cafe across the road and charged directly to the B&B. There is paid parking 100 yards distant and free parking a quarter of a mile away. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity of the popes palace and a well stocked supermarket some 50 yards away. Whilst we didn’t particularly like Viterbo it did make a good base for exploring the surrounding region. Unfortunately there is a ‘but’. The access stairs are uneven, narrow and steep with poor hand rails; they are difficult to manage going up and positively hazardous going down. As a result this property, whilst special, cannot be recommended for anyone who lacks full mobility.

Beautiful mix of old and new. The apartment / bld exterior takes you centuries back, while the modern interior and bathroom are of top pf the line.
