Cottage in a beautiful South African garden

I was there for a weekend with my girlfriend we enjoyed every second spent there. We were both surprised to find the garden looking so lush and green given that it's winter. Loved the colours and the paintings. Absolutely loved it...

The property wAS DARK, DAMP AND HORRIBLE. We left without even taking our bags out the car. Getting our Mitsubishi Triton into the narrow driveway was a challenge even after folding in the side mirrors. The owner was only available on watsapp as she lives in London. I tried numerous times (unsuccesfuly) to contact bookings.com that very night and subsequent days to get a refund. Stay away from this place and I doubt If I will be using bookings.com in future.

Beautiful space with helpful owners and staff. Gorgeous gardens and outdoor areas. Comfy couch and bed.

Unfortunately the gate was not opened with a remote so when arriving back on my own at night, I was a bit uncomfortable having to open the gate manually as it left me feeling vulnerable. Were it not for that small flaw, it would be my accommodation of choice in PTA. The kitchen could be stocked a little better with utensils/pots/dishes. No microwave.

Daniel was ready & waiting for us and available on his phone as we needed him during fair working hours. We stayed for 6 nights and unexpectedly, Daniel popped in to clean the cottage & refresh our linen on day 3. The cottage had a homely feel and was private with a beautiful garden area. The kitchen does not have a microwave, but the stove & oven worked perfectly for us. Full fridge & freezer is available.

The parking for the cottage is very small if you have a large car. I had to fold in my wing mirrors to get in & out each time. On the website it states that there is a washing machine but there is not one in the cottage. I am sure that, had I asked, Daniel would have made a plan for me but perhaps take this facility off the list on the amenities available.

Beautiful garden, convenient cottage, peaceful atmosphere, lovely stay.

The garden is absolutely beautiful. The cottage is surrounded by a bubble of colour and peace.
