Bidiyah Old Bedouin Wahaiba Desert CAMP

Die Zelte sind sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Auch der gemeinsame Aufenthaltsbereich war liebevoll gestaltet. Der Abend am Lagerfeuer mit interessanten Gesprächen und Informationen über die omanische Kultur und Geschichte hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Abendessen und Frühstück waren sehr lecker und reichlich. Das Personal war zuvorkommend, authentisch und sehr bemüht (und das soll nicht so rüberkommen, wie in einem Arbeitszeugnis, sondern ist ehrlich gemeint)

Wir haben zwar keine Ahnung von artgerechter Kamelhaltung, aber den Tieren waren die Vorderbeine ziemlich eng zusammengebunden und die Beine und auch teilweise die Köpfe waren durch diese Seile umd Halfter vernarbt.

If you are looking for a true desert experience, this is the perfect place! The hospital is outstanding 10/10, the food is delicious ( camel meat), everything is spotlessly clean, and the need are very comfortable.

Nothing

The host was great. Answered all our questions, super energetic and enthusiastic about new people, recommended us some shops and attractions to see. The staff (Ben) did great job. Sunset dessert ride was magnificent. Clean room and bathroom.

Lack of prices transparency. We were a bit amused by the total amount after adding the transportation (classic suv with 4x4 is not enough for these sands) and food. I mean we would still probably take it, but wasnt cool to find this out at collection place. The extra activity (visiting bedouins house) wasnt really bedouins house but rather bedouins shop. There were problems with water and electricity at the camp. Electricity was solved but for water it was enough only for couple minutes shower of 4 people.

The service was exceptional, and everything exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding—delicious in every way. We enjoyed a wonderful picnic during breakfast, which was truly memorable. The night sky was breathtaking, and we had a fantastic time sandboarding on the dunes. Our kids had a blast playing in the sand and trying out sandboarding themselves. Sultan was amazing—he and Benjamin were so friendly and helpful, keeping our kids entertained during the sandboarding. The tent was charming and comfortable, though the separate outdoor toilet was not an issue for us. We also went on a safari game drive to spot camels and sheep with one of the staff (we forgot his name), and the drive through the desert was beautiful. He was very kind to take some photos and videos for us. The pickup from the car to the camp was a fantastic experience as well. Overall, the whole experience was superb!!

There is no restaurant on site (unlike what is says in description), the food is brought in and can be a bit delayed - breakfast was exceptional - dinner was ok : suggest that you take fruit and snacks with you
