Una struttura bellissima con tutti i confort la signora Barbara ci ha accolto e ci ha fatto sentire come se fossimo a casa, il tutto situato in un palazzo storico proprio in centro città un esperienza bellissima tra relax e cultura ci torneremo sicuramente.

Quirky is probably the word. Certainly one of the most unusual places we’ve ever stayed.

Hate to leave any negative reviews but I have to call out the parking situation. This place advertises ‘on-site parking’ but it really doesn’t have any. For a start it is extremely difficult to navigate the exceptionally narrow streets of Viterbo to even get close - we spent ages going round in circles trying to find it. Once we got there (never would have if the owner hadn’t walked out to find us!) the car was too big for the single garage (the owners one car garage) which can only accommodate a 4m long car (ours was about 4.2m so no good). Then we had to drive out again and find a normal car park and walk back in. Only took 10min walk so why not be honest and say there is no parking available in medieval Viterbo and just park outside which is free anyway. We wasted at least an hour mucking around with all this. Apart from that it’s a strange place although very central. Spa bath is an incongruous touch in an old medieval building but quite cool. We didn’t like breakfast but probably our mistake for requesting an Italian breakfast without knowing what that meant - basically 3 types of stodgy cake and some biscuits. Not what we were hoping for! Other reviews do rave about this place but it was a bit disappointing for us.

Really unique, beautifully decorated, very special.

The wgole experience is wonderful...a nice apartment in center of town ..a lovely owner Barbara who brought me personally a lovely breakfast on request...unfortunately I stayed only 1 night On top a fantastic jacuzzi And.....a big eye for all lovely details.

Exceptional accommodation in a historic house where Pope Innocenzo VIII stayed. Every detail is taken care of in the house. I really liked how the lady owner was able to give new life to old things. Ultra comfortable bed. Mrs. Barbara - that's capital in itself. An exceptional and educated woman who loves art and history. Thank you Barbara for always being helpful and kind to me. I hope to have the opportunity to return and experience the atmosphere again.

The accommodating owner prepared our breakfasts just as we like them. She consulted with us on our favourite foods and served them precisely on time, always with fresh flowers. The historic residence, full of art and inventive touches, perfectly captures the spirit of Medieval and Renaissance Viterbo. Filled with art books and guides, it provides instant immersion in the spirit of place. The owner, an accomplished musician and artist, serenaded one breakfast with a Bach cello suite in heavenly acoustics. The bathing facility, in a grotto setting reminiscent of the 500 BCE Etruscan tombs, offers a chromotherapy spa and wonderful waterfall shower. The location is ideal for walking, close to two excellent restaurants, quiet and in every way "authentic."

A little handrail next to the steps leading up to the spacious bedroom would have helped.
