The design and finish are amongst the best I have seen. The staff are most helpful.

1. The net access did not work most of the time--no TV and comms--we were offered compensation though 2. The outside lights cannot be switched off meaning that the room cannot be properly darkened to sleep 3. Guest access to the toilet is a problem as it is not private owing to the open plan design 4. The sea is so muddy from the Tugela inflow that swimming is not an option 5. Our pool as opposed to the others remained murky over 4 days 6. The staff did not follow Booking.com payment schedule--within a day or so we were told that if we did not pay all upfront the booking would be lost

Great location with super friendly host and staff alike. Will definitely be back to enjoy the views and the hospitality that Mam'Mpilo and her staff are known for. Keep up the good work!

Waking up to the calming sound of the ocean and watching the sunrise is just the escape I needed. We enjoyed long walks by the beach, which is literally 2 minutes away and private. We managed to buy fresh fish from a local store which the staff cleaned for us and that was truly awesome. We booked the 2 bed unit - it is modern, comfortable and everything is of great quality. We bought supplies in Ballito and had no reason to leave the premises (except to buy fresh fish and explore the surroundings). The warmth and friendliness of the staff was an extra bonus, which made us feel even more comfortable. The only thing I did not like is "leaving" and will certainly go back again when tranquility and rest is needed.
