The location was good. We liked the small balcony which was on the mountain side (if you stay there, ask for the mountain view and not the 'city view' on the railway station side). The WiFi was always available in the room. We enjoyed breakfast. The dining area was clean and modern. The breakfast selection alternated every couple of days but was always tasty with a good selection. They offered a freshly cooked omelette every morning too. The staff were attentive. A particular mention should be made to Aziz as nothing was too much trouble. He greeted you every morning. We ordered room service several times, we had the Tandoori Chicken. It was always delivered in good time, it was value for money and was very good.

The reception staff were cold and unfriendly. Maybe they took themselves too seriously? The room had a massive mouldy patch on one side by the balcony above the bed and behind the curtains (504) We stayed 6 nights and we asked to have the bedding and towels changed just once. When the cleaner arrived she had a sour face like we had just disturbed her from something more important. Her attitude matched. Very rude. The next day we noticed one of our bags were missing. Nothing important as it was just snack items. Given that we were on the balcony as she cleaned our room, if she was unsure as to whether a particular bag was rubbish or not she could have asked. That was a bit annoying and inconvenient once we realised. The TV had no signal during our stay so we couldn't use it.

Location good for train station. Rooms has kettle with tea and coffee in which was good. Hot shower with some shower gel available. 24hr reception very convenient if travelling at odd hours.

Rooms were dirty, damp, mold and peeling paint on the walls. Sheets and towels also old and stained. After requesting to move rooms given a key to a worse room, and had to move again to a satisfactory one. No apology from staff, they looked irritated to have to deal with us. Noisy from the station throughout the night.
