We simple love the cottage and its environment. This should have been an easy 10/10. However...

... before departure we had several written exchanges with the owner regarding the keys. First this information was to be provided in the week before arrival, then a day before arrival, "when the cleaners are finished with the house". Well, I don't have easy access to internet and phone during travel, which resulted in us standing in front of the house after ten hours of transit, with no information about the keys. We finally got a German prepaid cellphone working and called the owner. During that call we were told about a keybox and its code. After we moved in, I send a message via booking.com, using the cottage's wi-fi. A while after that we got a message from the owner via booking.com, regarding the missing information. A minor hick-up, but it put a lot of unnecessary hazzle at the start of this otherwise beautiful trip.

Great house, lovely views and excellent location.
